At Victory GMC, our business philosophy has always been to serve our customers with integrity and a very high standard of business ethics, always going or being willing to go the extra mile to make their experience with Victory pleasant and rewarding.
THERE IS NOT ANOTHER FRANCHISE DEALERSHIP IN THE STATE OF ALABAMA THAT HAS A CUSTOMER CENTERED PHILOSOPHY LIKE OURS.
It is our desire to truly be different than all the traditional dealerships and we want you to trust us so much that you and your family will be Victory GMC customers for life.
In L. Frank Baum's “The Wonderful Wizard of Oz” the main character, Dorothy, has a famous line that has become cliché... “there's no place like home.” Car dealerships are most likely the last place one might feel at home. But Victory GMC in Calera is changing that.
Victory GMC is locally owned and operated by families born and raised right here in Shelby County. Dealer Principal Warren Bailey oversees the daily operations at Victory GMC.
From the leadership throughout the entire organization, the business is based on a principle found in the Bible: Treat others the way you want to be treated. This is not what most of us think about when walking (reluctantly) into a car store. “We're not perfect. But we are not the typical car dealership.” says Brad Bailey, who handles marketing and E-Commerce for the family owned business. “Buying a car needs to be easy. We want people to shop, purchase and service their vehicle in an easy way.”
Mary Strehle is responsible for the experience a customer has before they even get to physical brick and mortar building called Victory. “Shoppers have so many questions before they come to the store. We are in constant communication via phone, email and text helping them understand the features of a car, or pricing. We make sure the time they spend at the store is as short as possible, because everyone has more important things to do than to sit in a dealership all day.” Victory's website will allow a customer to just about handle everything before even getting to the store. You can get a price on your trade-in, get approved for your monthly payment and even chat with a representative. Strehle continues “It's a great feeling when a customer handles the transaction of their new car in less than an hour. And that happens more than you think because they have already done most everything online.”
Inside the store are images of customer testimonials, Facebook contests and even winners of pasts events like the “Win a Big Green Egg” contest. “We want our customers to have fun. They are trusting us with an awfully big purchase and sometimes that can tend to make them nervous. It's just normal.” says Breck Dillard, Executive Manager at Victory. Victory always has some kind of contest or event brewing. They've awarded cruises, big green eggs, XBox's, Ipads, hundreds of dollars in gift cards, and even a car. “There's no reason why buying a vehicle shouldn't be just as much fun” says Dillard. “We know most people don't like coming to car store. But we do everything possible to let customers know we are people just like they are and we enjoy helping them experience a different way to buy a car.”
I can't promise that your experience at Victory will feel as good as reclining in your four year old Lay-Z-Boy watching reruns of Mayberry, but I will promise you this: It will be hard to find yourself in a uncomfortable setting at Victory while tapping your red shoes and saying “there's no place like home.”
