Gadsden Music Company’s rental plan is a rent-to-own program with return privilege.  The plan provides your student with a band-director-approved musical instrument.  The return privilege protects parents from having to continue to pay for the instrument if the student ceases to participate in the school band program or the instrument is no longer needed.

One initial payment, ranging from $25.00 to $80.00, including tax, pays the first two months rental and is applied to the purchase of the instrument.  At this time, you have the option to add our repair agreement to your rental contract.  The repair agreement covers the cost of repairs necessary to keep your instrument playing well.  The cost of this repair agreement is $5.00 a month and will be added to your monthly payment amount.  The repair agreement payment does not apply to the purchase of the instrument.

Your monthly payments will be the same as the initial trial period payment, except for the final payment, which will be more or less than the regular payment.  The rental contract carries a finance charge of 17%, calculated monthly on the due date.  The finance charge is not applied toward the purchase of the instrument.

Once your account is established, you have the following options:

• You may pay the unpaid balance of the instrument in full with a 20% discount, as long as the account is up to date.
• Continue to rent the instrument monthly until it is paid in full and you own the instrument.

Repairs to your instrument will be made, by a representative from Gadsden Music, during a scheduled trip to the school.  The service performed in the band room is free to our customers as part of our rental program.  If our representative cannot complete the repairs, he will bring the instrument into our shop.  Repairs in our shop are at no charge if you purchased the repair agreement when you rented your instrument.   Our representative will bring your instrument back to the school on the next scheduled visit after the repairs are completed.  This is usually a week, unless the repairs are extensive, require parts that must be ordered, or the regular visit scheduled is interrupted, as explained in the next paragraph. Regular visits to your school will begin after our fall sale season concludes.  This is usually late September or early October.   Our regularly scheduled trips to the schools are interrupted several times during the school year.  These times are state honor bands festivals, Georgia and Alabama music educator conventions, severe weather, fall and spring break, and spring musical aptitude testing. Your band director will be aware of these schedule changes.  During these schedule interruptions, we can ship your instrument to your residence via UPS.  You will be responsible for shipping charges.

 Rental payments are mailed directly to Gadsden Music Company.  We can automatically debit your checking/savings account, or credit card, on the day your payment comes due.   Click here for an application for the automatic debit service which you can print, fill-in and mail.  Call the toll-free number 800-264-7228 for more information on the automatic payments.  If you do not payoff your instrument after the sixty day trial and do not take advantage of the automatic payment option, we will mail  you a coupon book.  You should send your rental payment and a coupon each month to:
