  What was the name of that little place we saw last week?  When I “Googled” it, it took me to the wrong website

I bought some beautiful pottery at the Christmas trade show and would really love more, but I can’t remember how to contact them.

I love fresh blueberries.  I wonder where I can pick some?

I wish I would have known they were having a sale yesterday.  I would have come back and bought that dress I've had my eye on.

Any of this sound familiar?  It did to us too, so we decided to do something about it.

MyMarketStreet.com was born out of a passion for local communities.  You can’t “buy local” if you can’t “find local.”   Better yet, after you find somewhere local that you really, really love, how do you keep up with what they have going on every day?  

Remember when everyone knew what was happening on their local Main Street?  Now, on top of our busy lives, we are so inundated with deals, coupons, special offers, games, Facebook, Twitter - it’s no wonder we can't keep up  . . . .  

So, while we could tout all the tangible benefits to supporting local businesses, from economics to customer service, we have to be honest;  what really excites us about MyMarketStreet.com is simply personal.  We want one place where we can just find great local businesses wherever we are in the state.   Just tell me what's here and what's on sale.  No games to play, no coupons to cliip, no "deals" to buy" - is that SOOO hard?  Not any more.  

And not just shops and restaurants.  We have set out in search of the well-known, as well as the well-hidden local favorites to bring them all together in one, easy to use community.  Want to find that local farmer or craftsperson?  What about the Pampered Chef, Avon lady or other direct sale representative? They have a home here too!  To make sure you can find ALL the local favorites, we have included categories for the home-grown and homemade products that we all love, but that are usually really hard to find.  

Keeping up with the things that you love is easy too!  After you find the businesses and sales that YOU care about, create your own  "Favorites" list to always keep them right at your fingertips.   Be automatically notified of great local sales and special deals from only the businesses you want to hear from - no coupons to print or keep up with!  

Think of us as that friend or neighbor who is always “in-the-know."  

Know where to dine, who to hire, all the things to see and what's on sale at local shops!  We have made it easy for our local business members to add their every day sales and special deals to their profiles AND in one central location.  That way, you know what's on sale before you go . . .  Weekend shopping get-aways take on a whole new meaning!
